Hummer Bulgaria - H2 at Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Sofia.
Hello from Bulgaria! This is me and my Hummer H2 at Sofia, the Capital
of Bulgaria.
At the back is Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, a neo-byzantine orthodox
cathedral,
which attracts many tourists. Inside its crypt is a museum with a
collection of orthodox icons.
The city of Sofia, which in olden days known as Serdica, is one of the
oldest in Europe. With a 7000 year old history, it has been a settlement
of the Thracians, the Odrysi and of the the Romans.
Other attractions at Sofia include the churches of St. George, St.
Sophia, St Nedelya and St. Petka. Ivan Vazov National Theatre, is a nice
place to watch a classical show. If your'e a book lover, Slaveykov
Square is a place you would enjoy, a market where book stalls are side
by side each other.

Night life is a sure enjoyment here, with a lot of clubs,
pubs and taverns.
When it comes to food, salads are served every meal. Soups, whether hot
or cold are also common in Bulgarian cuisine. They also have a variety
of dairy products and a selection of wines. I have yet to try banista, a
local pastry made of filo pastry which is filled with whisked eggs and
sirene (feta cheese). |
